Features

  • The Hypercenter XP is a computer-controlled, fluid transfer tissue processor with automated fixation, dehydration, cleaning and paraffin infiltration of tissue specimens.

  • Fully Enclosed System

  • The Reagent Storage Module does not allow reagent fumes to vent into laboratory atmosphere when the Hypercenter is in operation.

  • Flexible air bag which maximizes the system’s air capacity.

  • Emergency activated carbon filter is utilized as an additional safety feature only if there is excess pressure.

  • Optimized Design

  • Organized capacity of 180 cassettes.

  • Can be configured as either a floor model or bench-top model.

  • One Command Module can control up to 5 reaction and storage modules for processing capacity of up to 900 cassettes per load.

  • Save as many as 9 customized programs

  • Unit comes with default processing parameters available at each step of heat, vacuum, immersion time and extended drain time.

  • A time-of-day clock continuously displays and is used by the instrument to calculate and set continuous, real-time processing log.

  • Software is programmed to accommodate year 2000 changes.

  • Multilingual-Continuous on-screen prompts display in user choice of English, Spanish, French, Italian, German or Swedish.

  • Vacuum and positive pressure move reagents to and from the sealed specimen chamber through a single, rotary valve located in the reagent storage module.

  • Second blowout of reagent at every step.

  • Two independent paraffin baths completely infiltrate the specimen with paraffin.

  • Flush (purge) cycle automatically cleans the unit with heated xylene (or substitute) and then alcohol.
