Reagents 

UltraLight Histology^TM Processing Kit

• Using the UltraLight protocol for processing tissue will improve the quality of your lab and yield highly preserved specimens.
• This complete kit includes fixative, alcohols, xylene, and paraffin to be used in a tissue processor. It also includes our Tissue Softener and Pristine Artifact Preventer (see below).

UltraLight Histology^TM Fixative

• Use our fixative for specimen transport as well as in the tissue processor. Proper fixation is the most important step in cellular and morphological preservation.

UltraLight Histology^TM Tissue Softener

• This product is used to soften paraffin embedded tissue blocks before cutting, easily allowing thin sections to be cut which leads to better cellular detail (less superimposition).

UltraLight Histology^TM Pristine Artifact Preventer

• This is an additive for hematoxylin and eosin stains, which enhances color and extends shelf life up to two months ($$$ saving!!).
• This product is made to thermodynamically mop up excess formaldehyde (which can induce artifacts which destroy detail) and will improve staining.

• Guides cutting for 3mm tissue sections.  The smaller sections improve fixation.

Frozen Sections:

UltraLight Histology^TM Button

• Copper has optimal thermal conductivity, quickly freezing specimens.  Hundreds of dollars are spent per minute in surgery.  With these tools, cost is cut! 

UltraLight Histology^TM Heat Sink

• Paired with the UltraLight Histology Button, this product allows for efficient turnover time.  The teflon coating creates smooth transitions.
